Candle Safety and Best Care
Before you burn your candle....
Place your candle on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts in a well ventilated room. Make sure there is nothing flammable within a least 12 inches of your candle. Consider using a sturdy candle holder that can't be easily knocked over. Trim your wick down to 1/4 inch if needed.
As you burn your candles...
Never leave your candle unattended. Make sure that candle is away from children and pets. When you burn your candle for the first time burn your it long enough to melt all the way across the top of the candle. This helps prevent the candle from "tunneling". Do not burn candles for longer than 4 hours at a time.

Between burning your candle...
Before each burn, trim your wick down to 1/4 inch as this help to limit the soot being produced as well as preventing the height of the flame from getting too high. Never move your candle as it is burning or while the wax is liquid.
As you blow out your candles...
When extinguishing your candle use a snuffer or gently blow out the candle as the hot wax can splatter. Allow your candle to cool completely before moving. At the end of your candles' life stop burning when 1/2 inch of wax remains in the vessel as this prevents the vessel from getting too hot.
